Hoenn had a lot of great things going on, al it really needed were infinite TMs and physical/special split. Still love replaying Emerald to this day.

Play Cosmic Emerald, it adds those + Day/Night + mystery gift islands and a few smaller things, basically what the Hoenn remakes should have been.

Eevee did day and night evo already, so it's not a better version. Mainly because it doesn't work in a more creative way then Shedninja, unless I'm missing something I played SM once and USUM once.
