So what megas are we expecting in BDSP?
Do you think they'll go back and give more to Hoenn/Kanto or is it going to be an exclusively Johto/Sinnoh thing?
Or what about regional variants? G-Slowbro is in, so...

In BDSP, genius. As far as I know there's no confirmation of any additional Pokemon besides the ones present in DP, though I've not exactly been following the games' news due to a lack of interest. Might reconsider if it's not just DPPt on console.

I honestly don't expect any new megas. Megas were never exclusive to certain regions anyway. It seemed to have been based more on popularity. Ampharos, Steelix, Scizor, Heracross, Houndoom and Tyranitar got Megas and they were Johto Pokemon. Garchomp, Lucario, Abomasnow, and Gallade got Megas and they were Sinnoh Pokemon. Hoenn got proportionately more megas in order to market ORAS and Kanto got more because, well... it's Kanto. Gamefreak always panders more towards Kanto mons.

Aside from the fact they said before even launching Gen IV megas would not appear this Gen and you're ignoring everything pointing to what's happening to delude yourself into thinking your shitty gimmick will return. Much less it's fucking whos making this and not actually Game Freak, which further reduces the chance of their appearance, as Masuda's only going to talk about Gen IV's production, it being the relevant devcycle to what the whos are making.

Source? They only said that about Sword and Shield because they were afraid it would detract from Dynamax, a trend that was started with Z-Moves and we all know how that turned out with Megas still being around.

I dont want the gimmicks to return. Pokemon would be better off if they stopped doing them entirely and would just focus on mainstays like Megas or Triples/Rotation.
