It's just that people have finally stopped blindly worshipping Johto because of two regions and following pokemon, and actually look at the games more critically. No one's saying you can't like the games, but the whole "Johto is flawless, every criticism is trolling or zoomers" narrative makes Johtofans look like scientology members.

Some Johtofans are borderline schizos. However, 90% of people criticizing Johto are just trolls fishing for (yous) or SwShill's scapegoating Johto to deflect from how bad SwSh was.

You will NEVER catch a wild Mareep and raise it. at most you will get a traded one but it won't have your OT number, or breed one in the puppy mill but it won't be the same. Hope that Suicune is worth it!

Crystal hoes are so lazy they need their Suicune given to them instead of hunting them down themselves
The Real Gen II experience is playing 10 hours a day for two years to hope you encounter the beasts, then hunting them down, then realizing you can't transfer them to gameboy.

the hardest part is making a haunter (or gengar, if possible) and rising it to have enough level to mean look the shit outta them, then you slowly put them to sleep and lower the hp without fainting em, the pokedex shows them, btw if you didn't knew
