Rillaboom's pretty generic I guess, it probably doesn't stand out to most people compared to the other two who are a bit more unique. It's just a gorilla with a drum, it's not twisted into something "unique" like the other two. Always gonna be my favorite of the batch regardless.

It's the Chesnaught and Emboar factor. "The big guy" will always appeal less to people unless it's a monster like Feraligatr or Venusaur.

As much as /vp/ likes to shit on it, Inteleon did exactly what it was designed to do. Appeal to boy crazy Japanese girls. And it succeeded with flying colors

Cinderace was designed to appeal to a worldwide market due to being the shillmon of the generation.
While it didn't do as well as say, Dragapult, it still a respectable job appealing to the normie crowd.

I'm not sure what target audience Rillaboom was supposed to appeal to. But if it was for competitive audience then that probably explains it since the VGC crowd is way smaller than the rest of the community

Not true. Galar starters get hate all of the time here, but Rillaboom seems to be /vp/'s choice. And yet, outside of /vp/, it's vastly different.

Rillaboom is the hardest to draw.
Rillaboom's signature move is the most boring one.
Cinderace became popular in the west, while Inteleon in the east because of fujofags.
Trashnime favoring the other two, Cinderace appeared early and Goh's Sobble had the "sad cliche backstory" everyone loves, also Inteleon had a great debut episode. Rillaboom's debut is shit and does literally nothing.
Inteleon and Cinderace become a popular ship unlike Rillaboom and Incineroar.
