Why is Pokemon fanbase very aggressive towards anything like pokemon and label it a rip off before even really getting to see it?
It happens with Digimon, yo-kai watch, even dragon quest even though it predates pokemon itself, so pokemon would be a rip off of it by that logic.
It feels like calling Mario a rip off of kirby because they both have platforming in it, and Mario's power ups are just a shameless rip off of the copy ability.
Like yeah rip offs do happen but it feels like they get way to trigger happy, to the point that some people label Fire emblem a rip off somehow.
