You can't go anywhere in BOTW from the start. Every game has linear segments and sequential progression to some extent.

Only for the first area, but once you complete the "tutorial" you can basically go everywhere, even reach the castle to finish the game if you want

No you can't. You need to do very specific sequences in order to access the Divine Beasts, and "finishing the game" without doing the Divine Beasts or receiving all the memories is more of a false end than anything. Even for Open World games, BOTW is a very small exception when it comes to letting you "finish" the game in that way. That's just a different expression of open world design, and that wouldn't mean that BOTW is the only open world game either.

Why? You can beat the divine beasts in any order, access the entire map, and beat ganon with just weapons you find in the castle. There's no arbitrary "beat 2 bokoblin camps to unlock the next area" bullshit like PLA. PLA may not even have an open world in the most basic sense. It looks like you load areas from a fucking menu.
