>>48141478>Gen 1-5 were pretty consistent in terms of designGen 5 was a sharp left turn in a lot of ways. Namely, stuff like Cryagonal or Boldour or whatever the not-golem is called. I don't care, Gen 5 bores me to tears. It really did make bug types cool though, the best in the whole franchise hands-down.
>Gen 6 was okay, but you can tell they spent a lot of time on the mega evolutions.I probably can't tell you any gen 6 pokemon other than the fox one that /vp/ wants to stick its dick in and the ninja frog. I dunno, Yvetal? Xerneas? Zygarde? I'm going to be real, when I played Y my fenikin went into the box and I replaced it immediately with a charmander.
>7 is when things started getting REALLY fuckyAlolan variants were neat and I like the electric beetle. For some reason electric-bug types like Galvantula and that thing hit different for me. As I said, if Gen 5 did anything right, it made bug types cool.
>Gen 8 just looks like neonvomit sub-par Digimon.Probably why I dig some of the designs, like that crow thing or the sheep. I'm a big digimon fan too, now we just need a pokemon legendary that's Dragon/Steel and made entirely out of guns and a digimon that is basic as shit and the circle is complete.
Between not playing Gens 5-6 until later on emulator and not playing 7 or 8 at all (I didn't own a 3ds, tried to emulate US and quit because of the forced tutorial for basic shit, don't own Sw or Sh either) I've just got no connection to the later gens, but I assume the reason most people like them is be cause they were their first or something.
Even if I think gen 1, the games I started with, hold up like wet tissue paper today
