Hisuian Sawk and Throh
Sawk - Fighting/Electric
Throh - Fighting/Fire
Sawk wears a shirtless kimono with a fully exposed upper body.
Throh wears a loose kimono with half of it's upper body exposed.
They both have two horns coming from their head with the same color as their skin and two sharp teeth.
They get their clothing from other pokemon, such as Electabuzz for Sawk and Arcanine(Growlithe for temp.) for Throh.

This is absolutely fantastic. They should have gone this angle for their release.

As for another pokemon, what about a kappa style Squirtle line? Make them grass/water, a bit bulkier looking.
Maybe put some of those colorful patterns on Blastoise like those mawashi to home in on the sumo aspect of the creature

What about a Hisuian Regigigas that's at full power and without Slow Start? This was probably the time they sealed it away / went to slumber so it could work, could also have the ropes the Pokedex mentions it used to shape continents

The idea is great but I feel the color is too similar to the original one.

The entire line is based on an american woodpecker and the toucan two species found nowhere near japan, so doing a braviary and changing the color would help to distinguish them.

What about Grass type Wooper and Quagsire based on Japanese farmers? Give them a hat and coat like pic related but hopefully integrated into the design so it doesn’t just look like they’re wearing clothes but rather part of their anatomy.
