Because I want to give Sun another shot after dropping it a long time ago, partly because I wasn't satisfied with the team I had.

since you can get your mons relatively early (first two islands) why not a later game addition?

Salamence would be good you can get one early via SoS or just catch bagon
or just any strong flying type in general

Don't exactly have one, though I'm considering a Fire-type. I used Arcanine in the Ultra version once because it's my favorite Fire-type and I could breed one with Egg Moves.
