In pokemon, the friendship plot armor shit only happens to the starters, like how Red/Leon/Alain can pull bullshit with their Charizard only but not with other pokemon which makes fun of itself for having catching pokemon and training them worthless as "you are my first pokemon :(" make them stronger automatically. Same for Ash and Pikachu
