The light ball and G-Max Pikachu are both retarded as are any attempts to make Pikachu stronger than Raichu. Yeah he's the marketable face of the franchise but that makes every attempt to gimp Raichu even more retarded because evolutions are supposed to be statistical upgrades to your Pokemon. Sure, hold off on evolving Pikachu to get the better movesets for Raichu but there's no reason to keep yours as a Pikachu the entire game. The light ball should also enhance Raichu.
tl;dr I like Pikachu but Raichu should be just as marketed as Pikachu is.
