There's a cockiness to them, like they resemble the Cool Trainers of Gen II. Emerald exudes a different kind of confidence, like one of a returning Trainer. The stances are more intense, more defiant, and they're not just using Poké Balls but Premier Balls. You get the impression that this isn't their first rodeo, they're more experienced and skilled. In ORAS, they copy the poses of RS, but the stances are way too lose. No longer are they reminiscent of Cool Trainers, they're just kind of wobbly.
