>>48148772The whole fucking point of the psuedo is NOT to be found early in the game. You're rewarded for babying a shitter mid-late game with an endgame powerhouse. When you get one early, you get shit like Gabite dickraping half of Platinum because its stats aren't powercrept when Gible evolves.
And then there's the Larvitar line that obtain AFTER the postgame. Tyranitar was your reward for beating the entire game, and it's quite obvious that Game Freak intended it to be the strongest pokemon in the game. And then when they realized it wasn't, they buffed the already strong Tyranitar tremendously in gen 3 by giving it an ability on par with Groudon and Kyogre.
