The only pokemon I ever got mad at in casual play was Gastrodon from Sun and moon, Coming end to a big route and was low on supplies a few pokemon left, this fucker keep me locked in a battle for 40 mins using recover, Protect, full restore and other bullshit. Took forever until it finally started to struggle and I won. Fuck Gastrodon.

I think Cynthia was considered the hardest battle in pokemon pre sun and moon.

Never played Sword and shield but I think the current hardest battle is Giovanni, Team Rainbow Rocket where he Mega evolves mewtwo.

I don't remember the details but Lunatone in Renegade Platinum are a Hell to deal with while traversing their cave. Makes you feel like a box of scraps when you come out.
