>>48150276Sometimes I box my starter if I've been playing the same region (with the same starters) in succession, such as hacks of whatever game is set in that region. I guess couple that with the reality that not all three starters are going to always appeal - usually, 2/3 for me. Finally, I try to treat Murkrow as my starter wherever and as soon as possible, since it's my favourite pokemon, and that takes up a slot I may otherwise be unwilling to give to a starter.
