As if it wasn't easy enough already. My starter Pikachu was level 70 by the time I got to Fuchsia City since the game counts catch-chaining wild Pokemon as grinding. Would it have killed them to make a "hard mode" or something? I wanted to like it, but I can't get into a game where all I have to do is click A to win. It makes me feel like I'm watching one long cutscene.

The reason that happens is because there is a loud obnoxious group that hates everything. From the moment a new game is announced they will endlessly shit on it until the next game gets announced and they move on to obsessing over that. Then the only people left talking about the old game are people who actually played it. Just because you and a few others spend 12 hours a day on /vp/ bitching about the new games doesn't make it the majority opinion. Your tism fits just overshadow most posters.
