Ghost Pokémon have always been portrait as disturbing and evil Pokémon in dex entries.
Like, I'm not saying the episode should've been the kids being killed by the ghosts, but it would've been way more interesting if it was about them trying to escape the Pokémon after being trapped in school at night or something. Instead we just got more of the wacky hijinks we've seen in every single Pokémon anime episode that features Ghost types.
