I think I always knew it was bad with xy but I passed it off as being the first fully 3D game, like I expected a dex cut and I was shocked that all of them made it in, in the first place without it falling apart.
SM was decent, but replays really showed off how clingy it was to your hand, I just wanted to play the game with a new team.
USUM were a spit in the face for me, I expected it be like B2W2 but alt universe only for it to be like 90% the same, start barely different, and the 10% comes in at the end.
Just felt like a cash grab and I had to muscle my way through the game because it was so similar everything was so boring.
I haven't payed for a pokemon game since then.
