Reminder that grinding is possible in any game, but easier to come by in some than others. No proof has yet been posted ITT and serious points have yet to be made. It remains that Gen 6 - present is easier than what came before.

gen 7 is easily harder than anything else and I'd probably even argue gen 8 is harder than gen 5 or gen 1.

Gen seven is definitely the hardest of the nu pkmn generations but I would say it doesn’t surpass Gens 1-5. Another reminder that difficulty is subjective, so we have to go by what most people think and have experienced.

No, it isn't. It can be objectively measured. And you objectively need to use your brain more to beat EV trained item holding totems with a stat boost going 2v1 on you than a gym leader sending out at most three non-EV trained shitmons one at a time in a row.

You can't be serious. Gen 1 is easily the easiest gen of them all, due to trash NPC builds, very early availability of strong Pokemon in Nidos and lesser requirement of memorization caused by limited options.
