This pokemon was a huge dissapointment, it could have been Volcarona 2.0 but nah, they failed really hard

But /vp/ says that Ice doesn't need a buff so Frosmoth actually wasn't a disappointment. Having two double-weaknesses while being a defensive Pokémon is a good thing now.

fucking calyrex has two double weaknesses with both of them having common priority moves and it's one of the most broken pokemon in the entire franchise

It'd run HP Ground instead of Fire but it'd still be bad, even with the ability to break through Steel types, it's just too slow and too easily revenge killed even after boosting. If It had like +20 speed and HP Ground it could be PU material.

even at +1 it still loses to a lot of relevant steels, even in the bottom tiers.
as an example, klinklang (ZU) eats a +1 hidden power and can set up on it with shift gear.
