It's not like fucking over the entirety of a generation's dex would nerf Pokémon like Garchomp and Landorus or anything. In fact, people would just keep using those two and disregard almost everything that gen 7 offered, thanks stupid decisions like "Lycanroc would like to learn Counter" or Crabominable being the literal embodiment of the late-game Ice-type Pokémon.
