This thing almost singlehandedly beat the Ghetis, and the E4 in gen 5. Never has a Pokemon carried my team so much.

I’m playing through Silver right now, and I also have Herachad on my team. I think Espeon is probably my MVP though. It carried me through the E4 and destroyed Sabrina with Bite.

Shoutout to Swalot for being an absolute tank in Emerald. This guy damaged sponged like nobody's business, could hit back hard when he needed to, and provided invaluable support with Toxic and Encore. Particularly praiseworthy was how he enabled my victory over Wallace. By all accounts I should have been swept by Milotic due to having nothing that could hit it hard enough to take it out without going down themselves, and yet this absolute hero managed to toxic stall that overgrown fish not once, not twice, not even thrice, but FOUR times as Wallace spammed every full restore he had left on that thing in an attempt to save it. Anybody who saves you from having to go grind is a true hero.

No joke, this guy was the MVP of my monograss run of Heart Gold. Sunny Day Chlorophyll Solar Beam shenaniganery was the only way I got through a lot of things. Though of course Meganium tanking with screens and Leech Seed + Body Slam is an honorable mention

Anything that didn't resist it got erased. If you have to wait a turn anyway, might as well make the most of it. It was especially sick after I Baton Passed some Speed Boosts and a Swords Dance to it from my Ninjask.

This fucker is a monster in hgss. Ran it with

It was Brave, and I slapped a Muscle Band on it to boost all physical attacks. Rock Head prevented recoil damage from Wood Hammer, and with all that coverage this thing could handle pretty much anything but fighting types and steelix/Scizor/tentacruel. Took out all of Lances dragonites with ease, and I only had to switch out for Gyarados. Really surprised me in the best way.

I grinded him up to level 40 ASAP in Silver so I could catch the legendary beasts with Mean Look+Confuse Ray before moving on from Ecruteak. I also had a shiny one in Gen 3.

Also works in later gens. Give it Giga Impact and a Choice Band and it will simply erase most pokemon in the game, even if they resist the move.

Poliwhirl being as fast as it is and getting hypnosis early as fucking is such an insane boon in gen 2, sleep can last for several turns, so it's like you have a 60% chance to just completely cripple your opponents mons before it can even do anything. Literally any tough battle could be answered with poliwhirl putting it to sleep

Yes, you will see the "must recharge" message and the turn after that it can attack again.

Yeah but going into Misty with Nidoking isnt the best move. I usually take her out with Nidorino at lvl 20 using horn attack.
