>>48189811Whatever the gimmick is, I hope it keeps the universality and dynamic nature of Dynamax. Having to lock your gimmick in before the battle with item, or even worse, lock it in before the battle and only to a limited number of Pokemon, just isn't fun. If you have a bad matchup your options are fight with one hand behind your back by not bringing your gimmick, or fight with the other behind your back by bringing it, then dealing with the bad matchup. That said, with how good Dynamax has been (outside of some Gigantamax Pokemon having the same problem as Mega evolutions in that they're pre-picked by GF) I trust the gen 9 gimmick will probably be done well.
