how could it be anything other than the start? that is objectively the absolute peak of pokemon's popularity, and it always will be. nothing will ever replicate pokemania.

thank you! people praising anything modern time pokemon over the roots just weren't there when the franchise peaked it honestly makes me kinda sad because it's such an obvious coping mechanism. reminds me of zoomers hating on rock music because the are lowkey jealous they didn't experience it's peak in the 70/80s. obviously I'm talking about first gen pokemon cards and gb games aswell as the second gen gb games. like goethe said "jedem Anfang wohnt ein Zauber inne" (there is a magic in every beginning)

being objective and realistic its the first pokemania of gen 1 early gen 2 followed by "gen 6", but by gen 6 i mean pokemon go, not main games at all, those 2 have been objectively the biggest moments in pokemon history, pokemania and go craze
