maddie was great and it’s a shame that whenever yugioh casts get back together she’s always the glaring omission but my personal unpopular opinion is that i love weevil meowth in gen 4 onward. it’s a different flavor and the only voice change i actually like. Maybe james too? i’ve never really sat down and thought about it.

Eh, they're not really very good, but native English speakers tend to have too much nostalgia attached to their voices to really judge them fairly. If you ask fans from other countries you'll see a lot less praise for the English cast.

I think he just means that other countries had better voices, which is a common opinion among multilingual people. USA dubs are mediocre to bad on average but have rare gems (I prefer USA's YYH to the LatAm. Though to be fair, other countries tend to have bias for their own dubs. Europeans in general believe their dubs are good, except for the ones who get the offensively bad dubs that not even nostalgia can color pink. Latin America used to have dubs so good, nerds from other countries would learn Spanish just to watch them (not the case anymore as many of those magnificent actors have retired or died).

It's more that most native English speaking fans first heard the English 4Kids dub when they were 5 years old and have massive nostalgia for it, while most others never heard it until they were in their teens and are thus able to judge the voices on their own merit with neither nostalgia nor any "this is the first voice I heard come out of this character's mouth" bias clouding their judgment.

Removing item storage is one of the worst decisions made in the series. Having to go through a lot of items I don't need because of unlimited space is annoying, and an oeganization button doesn't fix the problem.
I'm not against removing HMs, but they would've been better if some of them were TMs. They enhance exploration, but the problem is that they're often used for 1 or 2 things per area. HMs like Surf should stay as is, but not Cut or Strength. Even more frustrating when Page Riders replace HMs and are still underutilized.
Both XY and ORAS had really great features, and if they were more well recieved, I believe they would've been mainstays for the rest of the series.
Not every shitmon necessarily needs a buff. It's mostly jokemons and gimmicks that should stay shitty.

HGSS's touch menu-focused menu redesigns were actually pretty fucking shit and very tedious and ineficient to use. Like seriously showing 6 items per page in an inventory with 100s of items is retarded.

It sounds you're the retarded one. You could put all your frequently used items in the first pages and immediately go to the last pages if needed. You can also select any 6 items at a time instead of having to scroll through every single one of them to get the one you need.
