The main games are much more statics, so assets can be reused easily especially when you don't actually have good animations. All of that doesn't apply to New Snap. Of course I'm fine with it not having all the Pokémon.
But I also don't care about New Snap that much. I haven't bought it. Maybe I'll check it out at some point.
Rescue Team DX not including all the Pokémon (or some more new content for that matter) was disappointing. PMD isn't like those other spinoffs (although it's usually been missing one or two Pokémon in most games). I like the game and I enjoy its gameplay, but I want it to have more. Some are justifying it for being a remake of a spinoff without the trade feature, which isn't fully satisfying to me but I can understand that. I don't know what that will mean for the next PMD though.

But the Diamond and Pearl remake isn't being criticized enough for it as it should be because of nostalgia, and everyone is looking forward to Legends Arceus because it at least looks somewhat interesting for once.
Also it's a spinoff whether Game Freak and The Pokémon Company want to admit it or not.
