Sure, they had a scene or two like the whole Lance and you at the lake of rage or those times you found Cynthia so she can say a line of generic dialogue or two, but what annoys me about Leon is the wasted potential, he was the tiniest bit of involvement in the plot, he held a lot of power, there was conflict, but he didn't do jack, he was barely a character in all of his appearances. The fact the anime and games present him as literally the strongest trainer right now really doesn't help.
