As with everything about Pokemon, really, its ALWAYS exposure above anything else; Kris predates the online fan art and meme machine by a decade and lost her chance to rejoin it, for better and worse. That she's been furiously modded back in to multiple games from scratch is an interesting and welcome phenomenon, but she's still Pokemon gal. I don't think she needs to change that much, bright spiky-haired biker still stands out compared to most of what came after, just drop the Game Boy cap, change or shore down the dash boots, and give her the newer rounder face. (Check any scene in Legend of Thunder when Jimmy and Marina are front and center, all the protags have same face going on but in their case its surreal)
