Yes, Typhlosion movepool is terrible compared to the others, which is way I think they'll buff it. I'm fairly certain the the only reason its movepool has been so horrible in the first place these past 20 years is due them to not wanting it to overshadow Charizard, but the fact that they choice Cyndaquil as the Fire Starter means that they no longer hate it.
At the very least it would need the following moves to be on-par with the others.
Swords Dance: to give it the option to use its Physical moves since it actually has physical moves and 84 attack is usable in-game if the pokemon has a set up move
Extreme Speed (for priority, it's off its weaker attack stat, but being 3+ priority and 80BP makes for it)
Earth Power, Ancient Power (special coverage every special attacking Volcanomon gets)
Morning Sun (recovery to give it some survivability to make up for its pitiful defenses and make Eruption actually usable)
Agility: To take advantage of the speed mechanic.
Nasty Plot: So its can boost its higher attacking Stat
