>>48225978I care about the national dex, but it's not a dealbreaker for me since I don't usually do living dexes.
I care that they cut the dex (and a bunch of random moves) and didn't do anything to justify cutting it.
When any game removes content, even the most arbitrary, meaningless shit, I expect they're going to use the dev time they saved to put extra effort in towards something else.
Even the biggest fanatical fanboys can't really come up with a solid THING that the game improved in compared to its predecessors, the best they'd come up with is "there's Gmax forms lol u just miss standtlar xd" or the more reasonable mention of the increased texture res on the Pokemon themselves.
That time they saved could've been used on more competent graphics, fleshing out some of the towns, adding in some minigames or other distractions, extending out some of the routes so they're not 20 feet long, adding in some side paths and secrets, etc.
For some unknown reason, this is both the gen that is famous for cutting content
including my favorite Pokemon of all time, later resold in the DLC like TPC is run by Satan or something AND the gen with some of the smallest amount of actual non-cut content.
