Do you guys like to start fresh every game and only use the mons you catch in that game, or do you like to breed an entire team on one game, then trade them over to your new game to start with six endgame mons?

I always catch regional mons I've never used before in a game, unless a pokemon has something like a new form (mega, regional, etc.)

Almost always start fresh. The exceptions were once trading a Deino egg over to a fresh Black cart and the time I traded my starter and a bunch of random mons over to start with a team of six horse-like mons in Ultra Moon.

I usually do that to start each new generation. Right now I’m toying around with the idea of breeding a bunch of mons with Gen 2-exclusive moves and trading them back to Pokémon Yellow. It might be lulzy to play through the game with an elemental punch Alakazam, an Earthquake Aerodactyl, etc.

First playthrough, I turn off my competitive-side as much as I could and start 100% fresh, using only Pokemon introduced in that region, except if that region has my favorite mon available (BW2 with Riolu)

I always use freshly caught pokemon when I do a new game with one exception, I did an all ghost replay of shield recently and transferred over a shiny ghastly from lgpe to use in it.

Always fresh team and I always plan team before i do the run. I usually try to build it from the pokemon available for catching, but sometimes there is a pokemon or two that i have to trade.

Start fresh, every time.
I always save my Pokémon to the Bank before I restart but I have never and probably will never actually use them in a different game
