>>48234097I started with Gen 1, and I would rate Gen 5 as games above Gens 4 and 6, but below 7. The dex, however, is the worst of the worst. There are a handful of Gen 5 designs I like, but most of the dex is just ugly. I’m not opposed to a game that forces you to only catch new Pokémon until the postgame, but so many of the Gen 5 mons were just offensive to see over and over again. A game with only Hoenn, Kalos, Alola, etc. mons would be fine. Sinnoh is probably the only exception since the new mons for Gen 4 were severely limited.
