>>48235474I really like how simple gen 2 starters are, it's kind of refreshing compared to newer stuff, just big fire badger, it's cool that it's back explodes, like in Pokemon ranger the animation for when it's standing is amazing.
feraligatr is simple but the colours on him really pop make it stand out without going overboard
Meganuim does still feel a bit weak, I live the antennae, but maybe the flower should be bigger or more impressive?
Gen 4 had some more complex designs but I like the shake up they had
empoleon has this odd trident beak, but also resembles a crown, the white feathers that give it a fancy look whole also being a good break away from the darker body, giving it much needed pop in that area.
World turtle is just cool, and I'm glad they actually used that for a monster idea, it would be stupid not too.
Infernape is very odd, probably the most eccentric then the rest, he has a redish brown body colour broken up by white and these yellow pads, it a lot more colour then most but he also has blue toes and fingers on top of that, and I can't help but like it, it's odd, I also like the fire tail moving to it's head, gives it a more defined silhouette and also works as crown fitting for some of it's inspirations.
