Ehh Albinism is cool but I always thought itd be neat if all Pokemon had two alternate shiny skins instead of one. So for instance shiny Charizard could be black, or it could be another color like maybe a sky blue.
One shiny Steelix is gold, another is red. You get the picture.
Would this frustrate shiny hunters? Sure. Would it suck ass if you got the shiny you prefer less to the other? Again sure. But I just think it'd be neat. Maybe it's just me.
Anyway if Pokemon were to implement albino Pokemon, I feel its too late for that. They would have needed to have done it instead of shinies back in Gen II. But if they were to do Albinism I would go by real-world rates. Apparently for mammals its a 1-in-10,000 chance, not all that far from the usual shiny odds. For birds its way more common. So I say meet in the middle and make albino Pokemon a 1-in-5,000 chance. But since albinism is also a recessive trait, lets make it 1-in-2500 for any Pokemon who was bred with an albino parent or parents. Might be a bit too common at that point but I think it would work fine
