I feel saddened knowing that alot the pokemon I like are hated to no end. Yeah, opinions are just opinions and you shouldn't be affected by them, I know. However, it's lonely being one of the few fans of infamous pokemon. Alot of fans of popular pokemon, by contrast, have a admittedly flawed, but nice community to bond over those pokemon, including producing high quality fanart, crafts, etc.
But ultimately, I fear that GF and TPCI will one day cater to that popular opinion to a point where they just outright erase away every unpopular pokemon from canon ever, with regional variants and culling being just the first step to replacing and getting rid off them. And the majority of fans won't care either way. In fact, they'll celebrate it.

Generally speaking I unironically like the obscure Pokemon more than I do with popular ones, so I don't have high expectations that they'll get as much attention. Especially not now with the dex cut. Part of me is glad they won't be in new games, but another part of me is disappointed that we'll be stuck with Eevee and Lucario for the rest of the series.
Not really related, but some of my favourite unpopular Pokemon are one of a pair, and I usually like that one Pokemon, but not its counterpart. I autistically wish that the Pokemon I dislike gets cut off and the one I like stays, but I know that GF forces duos with each other a lot.

Let's Go was the most fun I've had playing a Pokemon game in ages, but it was mainly due to how close it stuck to being like gen 1. Let's Go did a really good job of opening up the map and letting you just do whatever you wanted. The fourth Gym I defeated in that game was Blaine's. Barely any shitty story interrupting your adventure, and no Legendaries were forced on you during the story.

The more Pokemon tries to be like regular story focused RPGs the less interesting it is.

Its already on a physical level at this point Anon, my dick literaly refuses to stand up for anything else (maybe except a few obvious furrybait Digimon designs like Tailmon and Renamon), I honestly hate myself too much to do anything about it at all, as doing do might actually cause my life to become not-shit by chance, and that terrifies me even more than keep staying a miserable POS as-is for some reason

Although if we're pushing a little, when it comes to subjective things like enjoying pokemon designs, I admit I have pretty basic bitch taste, a lot of my favorites are really easy to like designs. Aesthetic wise I'm probably close to a very big denominator

when I was a child my aunt took my gameboy color (Red was in it) and gave it to her son because she said girls don't play games, so I'd obviously stolen it from him. Jokes on him though, I softlocked myself lmao I got in trouble for "ruining his game." Not a secret, not exciting or juicy, but I've never told anyone and it still ticks me off a bit. I never finished Red because of that bitch.
