By pure coincidence the first Absol specimens ever observed thorougly by humans were a small minority of quasi-literal 'glory hounds' that when things got too calm and quiet, theyd routinely cause random calamities to occur in order to 'save' humans blissfuly unaware of their shenaningans - yet somehow they got caught in the act midway, further cementing the idea all Absols do it - thus spawning the fable of them personally bringing the incoming disaster and advising people to stay away from them whenever possible...
