each tends to at least have one good quality

Megas, comfy atmosphere, best ending a Pokemon game had to date. Well designed boxart Legendaries, nice music, PSS.

Ride Pokemon replacing HMs (could use some fixes but it was a correct step), Ultra Beasts are all enjoyable to me, Acerola a cute and best. Humans finally standing behind Pokemon during in-battle segments.

Runerigus is 10/10 design. Legendary birds finally getting some love. And all the QoL improvements for moves/natures/IVs and Marnie 's Theme but she herself is nice too

Tropical region is comfy, some absolutely great women, especially the milfs

Competitive QoL is nice, the Galar Pokemon are pretty well designed, also Melony.

The beginning of it all. Pokémania was incredibly fun and brought people together. Great designs still adored to this day. Playground rumors and mysteries added to the sense of adventure.

Comfiest region. Fantastic music and sprites. Felt like there was a lot to do between time of day and day of the week events. Good rival. Ruins of Alph puzzles. Nothing has ever topped reaching post game in GSC as a kid and realizing you can go back to Kanto.

Good region, thematically. Batshit MILF jellyfish. Team Skull being sympathetic goofy punks instead of clear antagonists.

Lots of QoL. Overworld Pokémon. Gym battles felt really cinematic in the stadiums. Alcremie.

Loved the day and night cycles. The addition Pokémon where well designed and the sprite work was amazing. The rivals actually had a character arc. Revisiting Kanto was great and battling Red was an fitting way to conclude the game.

Great route design. Double battles where an interesting way to spice things up. The battle frontier.

The similar story telling style to Gen1 where you go out of your way to find out more about the world. Pokémon following you. A good postgame.

A large rooster of new Pokémon. Team Plasma was great and N made for an interesting antagonist. The story was good and everyone had a role in it. The introduction of hidden abilities. Triple and rotation battles where very fun.
>Gen6
Megas as a concept where cool. The game had beautiful scenery. Pokemon Amie. The abundance of Pokémon from all gens.
>Gen7
A very comfy region with a laid back atmosphere. Lots of callbacks to previous gens. Customisation. Removal of HM's. An attempt to mix up the standard formula. And would have made for an excellent conclusion to the series as a whole.

Well designed region and a great place to start. Audio was using a lot more minor chords and darker progressions than any other generation and I think that adds a lot of personality to it.

Favorite legendaries, a really well-rounded set of new mons, great audio, very upbeat and comfy adventure. Probably my favorite to return to aside from the introduction.

Favorite region layout by far. I liked that a lot of the designs were more abstractly based on animals. No other generation had a similar design philosophy when it came to the mons themselves and I appreciate it a lot. Trumpets are my favorite. Battle Frontier was rad as hell and I remember maxing out my emerald playtime collecting all the gold symbols. Like 2/3 of my favorite tracks throughout the series came from this game.

So many side areas to go to, so much to see, post game content, great starters. Mt Coronet is probably my favorite dungeon in the series with the only thing I don't like about it being its reliance on HMs.

Favorite actual region. Favorite starter trio. Loved the darker atmosphere, cities felt alive, the battle subway, pokestar studios I spent more time than most in. The transfer minigame was really cute even if incredibly annoying to migrate with.
>Kalos
Goomy line and Noivern line. I don't really care for much here in all honesty. Introducing character customization though was great but the male options fucking SUCKED.
>Alola (My entire experience of it is USUM tho)
Better character customization (though locked behind the stupid festival plaza nonsense for color dying), the battle stances/unique send outs were one of the most soulful things to date, I really liked Totems over gyms with genuinely more difficult bosses. Probably my favorite new set of Pokemon to date, absolutely love the ultra beasts as a way to break boundaries on... (1/2)

Felt like a much more realized transition to 3D and while the linearity is bad, I do really appreciate that they gave the world verticality, something simply not done in XYORAS and not even until gen 8's crown tundra did we see it return in a good form. Probably my most fun region to return to and nuzlocke. Ultra Necrozma was a genuinely great idea and its battle + theme was fantastic.

I liked the new championship tournament a LOT. One of the things that's always bothered me about older Pokemon games is how the Elite 4 exist in maybe 1 spot in the region (besides Malva) then disappear to go masturbate at the league. This is also a bit of a problem with gym leaders. Giving all the gym leaders new dialogue and interactions, especially with the Star version of the tournament, was such a nice step. A lot of the pokemon designs in the region I like but it also comes with some of the ones I now hate the most too. Centiskorch and the Fossils I really like, Zarude as a mythical being based on a genuine UK myth of the Shug Monkey is a really nice touch. Probably my favorite mythical design wise.
The DLC was a good step in the right direction with new postgame facilities, less bloat, and an actual open world. I really like that you can explore the entirety of the isle of armor before you ever touch the dojo, and similarly the crown tundra to calyrex's quest. Speaking of, Calyrex too as the first Pokemon that isn't just something to catch, but a fleshed-out character, is a really really nice change of pace from all the "here's the legendary on a silver platter" since gen 2/3. The new rental facility having actual difficulty too is fucking rad. Zygarde scaring everyone in a voice call when it comes up is the funniest experience I've had with Pokemon to date. Genuinely love that mode and hope something like that comes back in the future.

The game makes sure almost every character is important and memorable and rarely has one-off characters out of nowhere.

The Wild Area in the DLC specifically was a nice taste of what could be eventually awesome with Gen 9 and Legends Arceus

I Think Leon's whole character of being essentially a PC that stayed champion up until we came along is super interesting, but Gamefreak really bungled his overall character interactions.
