It has just enough complexity while keeping relatively simple, some say "it just gets bigger" but I feel that's good for some pokemon, they don't need a drastic change, just more development, these are going from small monster to a fully developed one, it's only bad when the final doesn't bring anything new to the table and might as well be a single stage or two stage in a way.
