Without its hidden ability it'd be UU at best. Getting STAB on everything, being able to switch away from Fire on a whim, and having fast/hard hitting U-turns for pivoting is what makes it so good. Without Libero, Cinderace deals 50% less damage and is unable to break through Toxapex.

VGC is doubles fanfic. It doesn't count. Pokemon is a singles game, doubles is just an alt game mode like rotation battles or inverse battles. It should not be considered for competitive balance in the same way that inverse battles shouldn't be.

What makes you think it will take the spotlight from heatran instead of giving it even more presence? Like, sure, other good fire mons will be used more frequently, but nothing indicates heatran would become anything less than absolute S tier and cancerously overused

They're still about the same, specially clef. Fire has a lot of good switchings type-wise.

Fairy is still one of the most powerful types even if it loses its Bug resist (it won't). Having an immunity to Dragon and resisting Dark and Fighting (an otherwise unresisted type combination) would make it one of the better defensive types out there instead of the 2nd best like it is now. It's still one of the strongest offensive types, too.

It was. That's the entire reason Fairy was made, get rid of the Steel type (not very hard with Magnezone) and now nothing can switch into Outrage or Draco Meteor.

Plenty of Steel types didn't care about Magnezone. Heatran, Jirachi, Scizor, Excadrill, and Lucario to name a few.

The only retards who think 4drag2mag was actually oppressive never played Gen 5. A lot of complex bans had to happen before it even became viable. It was actually so little of a problem that Latios was allowed outside of Ubers for the first time ever in Gen 5, and Kyurem-B, a Pokemon that has 20 less BST than Arceus, was a non-issue in OU.

All 3 Dragons on that list have a higher BST than the Tapus. In fact, there's not a single Dragon-type used in OU with less than 600 BST until you get to the 92nd most used Pokemon (Kingdra).

They aren't. If they were, Psuedo-legends would need to be as well (since they have higher stats than most legendaries anyways), and then the strongest Dragons would be... Kingdra, Flygon, and Noivern. Not a single one cuts it in the highest tier, so thus it's the worst type in the game.

Also, Bug is already an amazing defensive type. Resisting Ground and Fighting is huge, not to mention Grass is a better resist now that there are some actually good Grass-types like Rillaboom. What Bug lacks is good offensive presence, since it's only SE against Dark, Psychic, and Grass while being the most resisted type in the game.

Only Legendaries with over 600 BST get automatically sent to Ubers (hence why e.g. Zapdos, Azelf, etc have never been banned) and even then Pokemon can be tested down if they prove weak enough (Kyurem Black, potentially Zamazenta Crowned)

Inner Focus blocks Intimidate and Fake Out, and they gave it Sacred Fire and Extreme Speed baseline back in Gen 6. Coupled with its solid bulk, solid attacking stats, and good speed and you have an above average Pokemon that can check a lot of the common threats and support Pokemon right now.
