Inclement Emerald is pretty fun. I'm doing a Mono-Bug run and it's been pretty difficult so far barring Brawly who was a cakewalk with Cutiefly. I'm about to fight Wattson, after that I'm going to make my way back to Dewford to get a Wimpod and then consider my options some more. Really wanted to use either Leavanny or Parasect in this playthrough, but having a double weakness to Fire and Flying on a team already destroyed by it was just a bad move imo. Beedrill is there for my eventual Mega, and while I had used Ariados in another playthrough for a different game before, it's actually a shiny and I felt compelled to make an exception for it.

Finished Radical Red the other day.
I don't think I can go back to playing any other romhack ever again.
>no potions in trainer battles (for you *and* for the AI) so moves like Rest and Recover aren't completely outclassed by Full Restores
>battle style locked to Set
>level caps to prevent grinding
>optional minimal grinding mode to cut out breeding IVs/EV training autism, and thus maintain the fun of just catching any Pokemon and using it right away without having to significantly invest in its hidden stats before its useful
these features are all great and should be the absolute bare minimum of any romhack.
>feature complete from Gen 1 to 8, *every* single Pokemon is programmed in
Other romhacks I've previously liked like Clover, Blaze Black 2 etc. would all be objectively improved with the above (though Clover does implement soft level caps and a 4 item limit in battles)

Currently working on a romhack of Pokémon Crystal that involves a lot of AI elements. The Pokecrystal Wiki tutorials have been very useful, but lack a lot of crucial tutorials like how to display Stat Exp/EVs on stat screens. Anyone have a link to more tutorials?

Radical Red would be great if the bosses weren't artificially difficult early on. It's a fucking slog at the start and only starts getting good after the 4th gym battle when you finally have access to the same moves and pokemon as the gym leaders.

i reverted it back to 2.1, it was a really small update so i shouldn't call it 2.4, all i did was make kum catchable and changed vaporeons dex entry
i don't want to frustrate people who already have 2.1 and make them feel like they need to update
