Hispaniola will never be a pokemon region. But if it was, it would be interesting to have it be like Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia, where you can alternate between a protagonist doing an island trial thing with Lwa and Oungans in the Haiti part and a protagonist doing a regular pokemon league in the Dominican Republic part. Then at the end, both players can go between each region.
