>>48263923Evasion is not even a winning strategy if your opponent's not prepared for it, MOST of the time the winning against evasion is just to plainly ignore it which makes it twice as bad to actually play counter-mesures that will lower your win rates against other comps.
Also, none of those counter-measures are universal, and the better ones are sparsely distributed, having a strong aerial ace or a poison type with toxic won't do shit against a steel type, pressure-stall won't prevent a +1 evasion blaziken from setting up to +6 att and spe and so on.
But then again, nobody that knows their shit argues that evasion needs to be banned but rather the fact than it turns pretty much every possible match up in the game into a coin toss (at your own disavantage but still) at only the cost of a single move on, once again, any mon of your choice.
