Are you guys for real? Seel and Dewgong highlight by the fact that they have too few colors compared to other pokemon. Pikachu on the other hand has fur patterns and 4 colors.

Seal is fine and it's good because it simple animal, it doesn't need anything else it fits with the style of pokemon
Digimon is good for it more complex style that fits with the design philosophy of Digimon.
Pokemon shouldn't be Digimon and vise versa and the differences is why people like them .

seel was one of the weakest gen 1 designs
digimon has a huge consistancy problem
i like a lot of the monster designs, but many of them are inappropriate for pokemon and a ton are just way too weird
digimon hit 1000+ before pokemon despite being younger
new digimon designs are made by the tamagogi team, the various game teams, the anime teams, the movie teams, and the phone apps, card games, and accessory teams get to add new designs to the canon with no oversite
