>>48270324It's blatantly obvious that Meganium was intentionally made useless to make their favorite Pokémon Venusaur look better (the same thing happened with Typhlosion compared to TPC's favorite Charizard). They don't put Blastiose on an unwarranted pedestal like the other two so Feraligatr was allowed be be usable (though they still don't want it to actaully be better).
TPC/Game Freak as a whole used to have an unwarranted hate of the Johto region and especially the starters. However, there may have been a very recent change in the company since Jotho starters are being treated like actual Pokemon, (Meganiu in Snap, Cyndaquil in Legends).
