Only spinoff Pokemon games are legitimately hard, alongside a few postgame things from the mainline entires.
USUM is as easy as any mainline Pokemon game... As long as you actually use the things the game gives you.
But USUM can be "challenging" if you decide not to, unlike a game like ORAS where you can chop your own dick off and play blindfolded with your tongue only and still manage to beat it without any difficulty.
You don't have to hop through 37 different arbitrary hoops to get a sense of challenge from USU. Just like 2 or 3.
