Why the hell are almost all bug mons in the earlier gens so goddam weak? Didn’t satoshi get his inspiration for Pokémon from collecting bugs? Why did he have to do his literal inspirations dirty?

Mega Pinsir, Accelgor, Mega Beedrill, Scyther, Heracross and Mega, Ninjask, Scolipede, Galvantula, Volcarona, Ribombee, Buzzwole, Pheromosa, Araquanid

all these bugs have had good use

Bugs are easy to catch, but still it's monster game, they shouldn't be useless.
Beedrill and butterfree make sense they have a spike of power until mid and late game where they fall off.
Later gens they decided, "why did make a type that has very good pokemon?" and started making early game bugs that evolved later but could do shit.
