LGPE is just shitty Kanto again but with Shitty Go mechanics in it and is babified even more, and FRLG only let's you use Kanto mon and you can't evolve other mons until you get nat dex, and at that point why not play the OG with all the fun exploits in it? If you can't have newer pokemon to change up the battles in any way, then yeah, it's by default worse then the original don't half ass it by adding mega's or johoto mon end game, ether go all in with new shit or don't bother at all, if I hate new shit so much that held items get dropped, why would I want the split in it to? Just make it 100% RBY but on the switch for 5$ Maybe then I'll buy it, but as of now I have a good old Blue cart that I can just pop in for the true Kanto experience.
