it experimented for the first time with a bigger focus on a deeper story, focused exclusively on new pokemon, had a different pokemon center layout, had the last fight not be against the champion, etc

Most people agree PiT was the odd one out. It’s still a good game, the others are just better. Honestly it bums me out they skipped over PiT and went straight to remaking BIS, because PiT really needed it the most. I do agree inside Bowser was a pretty boring place most of the time, though.
