>>48297555>>I have no idea what immersion isIf you're so "immersed" in this child's story that you feel pressured to not do any exploration, you have zero room to be calling anyone else autistic. This is laughably sad.
This isn't even getting into how the the overwhelming majority of a Pokemon's playthrough has no pressure on the player, as the main story conflict doesn't take place some 6+ badges in for all games. Unless you've already completed the game once, you have no idea who's sitting around waiting for you in the next city, you're completely free to do whatever you want because the story doesn't actually take place until you get there. In fact, there are a number of instances in which NPCs will DELIBERATELY push you to try to explore optional areas, there's zero reason visit Desert Resort in BW1 until the climax of the story, but Cheren will casually mention there are Pokemon to be found there when you first pass through Route 4, what exactly is rushing you to the next gym in this instance?
Are you incapable of doing things on your own without a mission marker? Actual question.
>I just don't enjoy it when it cuts into my actual progress. You're only able to enjoy playing a Pokemon game if you're completing the main mission? And you're trying to call me autistic? In your own post you recognize the problem with blitzing through the game, yet you're incapable of considering that maybe the games aren't designed to be speedran through, and now you're trying to argue with ME about the problem you know you have.
>Yes and this is BADNo it's not, the player should not be punished for taking their time and exploring. I do agree the story should change somehow if the player loses though, but there should never be a downside for taking your time getting to the next objective because that fucking sucks.
I hope this is all an elaborate troll, I feel people on this board are bending their backs harder and harder to defend bad games like SWSH, I pray its just bait.
