Personally I think BDSP look like decent DP remakes, BUT Platinum will ALWAYS be the definitive Sinnoh experience since it’s a true remake.

What's this? A reasonable take?

Personally I'm looking forward to it. So far it looks decent. My problems with it aren't deal breakers, but we won't know for sure until it comes out.

What looks good
>tile overworld again
>"faithful" approach probably means the routes/dungeons won't be fucked with
>environments and backgrounds look gorgeous, not even a graphicsfag
>additions to Underground
>small additions to Amity, Contests, and Poffins
>following Pokemon
>Manaphy Egg without needing to buy another game, even if both Ranger games were hella fun
>HM Poketech is faster
>Game Corner is at least replaced with something, no "le Game Corner Project has started"

What's not so good
>obviously lack of NatDex, but that's something I've begrudgingly accepted
>probably no gen 5-8 mons added to regional dex except for Sylveon
>HM Poketech is basically Ride Pokemon
>no back button on Poketech, there is no excuse, and I fully expect this to be changed
>no Secret Base furniture

Oh, and the lack of a Battle Frontier and the player Villa sucks too. But yeah overall it looks like a decent game.

Even if it's the same as Gen 4, it will end up being a better singleplayer game than most mainline Pokemon titles since 2013
